**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**
MUSIC SELECTION
Music must be turned in by February 28, 2025, via email to versatileproductions6@gmail.com
Failure to submit music by the due date will result in the DJ providing the contestant's music selection. NO CD'S WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Music must be free of "VULGAR" Or "PROFANE" language. Failure to adhere to the music rules, music selection will be rejected!!
Day of Contestant
**Contestants Only**
Contestants should arrive as early as 3 pm and no later than 6 pm to finalize their entry into the contest and have floor time to prepare.
Prepare for "Heat"
Be prepared for a “Heat”, in the event there are too many contestants in your category. A “Heat” is when multiple contestants in a category dance on the floor at the same time, and are judged simultaneously.
Partner Changes
In the event that you change partners, you will then have to re-register using your new partner’s name. If this happens, you will be responsible for any entry fees (if applicable) to re-enter the contest. Should you withdraw from the contest, no refunds will be issued if you have paid a registration fee.
Judging
Each contestant will be evaluated by a panel consisting of 3 to 5 previously selected judges. The scoring will be based on a 10-point scale, with each judge providing a score from 1 to 10. The total score for each contestant will be the sum of the judges' scores, resulting in a maximum possible score between 30 and 50 points, depending on the number of judges.
All contestants agree that the time, manner, and method of judging the competition will be solely within the discretion of the judges.
****PLEASE NOTE***
Un-sportsmanship like conduct, such as but not limited to harassing, or threatening judges will result in immediate disqualification.
The decisions of the judges are final and cannot be negotiated.
IN THE EVENT OF A TIE FOR ANY PLACE, COUPLES WILL HAVE A DANCE OFF. ONE MINUTE IN DURATION TO A SONG SELECTED BY COORDINATOR.
